Read article →Sorveo participated in Hotel Expo Nigeria on 28–29 September 2026 at the Landmark Centre in Lagos, bringing our approach to intelligent CCTV to the hospitality community.
At Stand F17, we shared how existing cameras can help hotels identify events that need attention and give their teams timely information to respond. The exhibition also provided an opportunity to introduce the Sorveo Hospitality Intelligence Network to hotel operators.
Hotel security often operates property by property. A hotel may document a serious incident, yet another property has little awareness of that concern when the same individual arrives.
This raises a practical question: how can hotels learn from one another’s experiences while sharing information responsibly?
We used our participation in the exhibition to share the network’s approach: connecting participating hotels through approved watchlist entries and alerts when their cameras identify a potential match.
The potential benefits include earlier awareness of documented concerns, better preparation for staff and opportunities to reduce repeat losses. An alert gives authorised teams an image and supporting context to review before deciding how to respond.
Human judgement remains central. A potential match requires checking; it does not automatically trigger refusal of entry or other action. Shared entries also go through separate proposal, review and approval stages, with records of decisions and a process for challenging entries.
For hotel operators, this offers a more structured approach to exchanging security information, alongside the intelligence available within their own property.
Hotel Expo Nigeria gave us a valuable setting to introduce this idea within the wider conversation about hospitality operations and guest experience.
Technology has a useful role when it helps staff act with greater awareness. Connecting hotels through carefully governed information sharing takes that further, allowing individual experiences to contribute to collective awareness.
Thank you to everyone who visited Sorveo at Stand F17 over the two days. We look forward to continuing the conversation with hotel operators as the initiative develops.
