How allowlists work

Alert on everyone except the people you permit.

Build the allowlist. Enrol the staff, residents, members or contractors who are permitted in an area.
Assign it to restricted cameras. Choose the cameras that cover server rooms, plant areas, back-of-house corridors or any other controlled space.
Authorised people pass silently. A recognised, permitted face generates no alert — your team isn’t buried in noise.
Everyone else raises a critical alert. A known person who isn’t permitted there, or an unknown face, triggers a critical alert with a snapshot and the camera location.
Different from a watchlist. A watchlist alerts on specific people you name. An allowlist alerts on everyone except the people you name. Many sites use both.

What is the difference between an allowlist and a watchlist?

A watchlist alerts when a specific person you have named is seen, such as a banned guest or known offender. An allowlist works the other way round: it alerts on everyone except the people you have permitted. Authorised people pass silently and anyone else on a restricted camera raises a critical alert.

Does Sorveo replace my door access-control system?

No. Sorveo does not open or lock doors. It adds a camera-based check on top of your existing access control, so you are alerted when someone who is not authorised is seen in a restricted area, however they got in.

What does the Exclusion Detection report show?

It splits entries on restricted cameras into authorised and unauthorised. Unauthorised entries are further split into known but not permitted people and unknown faces, and the cameras with the most unauthorised entries are ranked so you can see where controls are weakest.

How do I add people to an allowlist?

Enrol people individually or in bulk batches of up to 20. Each enrolment is synced to every relevant camera automatically, with retry and recovery if a device is offline. You can also enrol someone directly from an unknown-person detection.

Do I need new cameras?

No. Sorveo adds AI to your existing IP cameras through an on-site Sorveo edge appliance. Cameras need to expose a reachable video stream and have a reasonable view of faces at the point you want to control.

Which alert channels are available?

Alerts can be delivered by WhatsApp, SMS, email and in-app notification. Each alert includes a snapshot and the camera location.
